Eating out for people with braces can require a few adjustments. Not all foods are braces-friendly, and dishes with braces-friendly food might be rare for some restaurants. Luckily for KCC Orthodontics, we’re centrally located between the Katy, Fulshear, and Sealy areas. There are plenty of restaurant options, and many have dishes that are both delicious and braces-friendly. For those with braces looking to eat out, try one of these local places.
- El Canton Firewood Pizzeria – Pizza is always a great braces-friendly option, especially thick crust pizza. Some thin crust pizza will be too crunchy and pose a risk of breaking a bracket. Cutting the pizza into pieces before eating is a great way to keep it braces-friendly.
- Local Table – Local Table is easily accessible to the majority of KCC Orthodontics’ patients as there are locations in Katy, Cypress, and Fulshear. Their menu includes plenty of gluten-free options that are also braces-friendly such as their beef tenderloin fajita salad. To ensure this dish is safe for braces, make sure to cut the beef into small bite size pieces.
- Snappy’s Café and Grill – For those early risers, Snappy’s Café has a great breakfast menu. Pancakes and waffles are always a good choice for people with braces. There is no risk of snapping a wire. However, watch out for crunchy toppings like pecans as they can turn a braces-friendly meal to non-friendly.
- El Ranchero – Not all Mexican dishes are braces-friendly, but El Ranchero offers plenty of options. Their tortilla soup is a great choice for a meal after coming to KCC Orthodontics for a wire change. Even better, their Katy location is located in the shopping center next to our office!
We at KCC Orthodontics love working within the Katy, Fulshear, and Sealy area. We encourage our patients to support local businesses as we are a local business too. If you’re looking for a great place to eat after your orthodontic appointment, try one of these options!
