It’s hard to resist a classic holiday staple like Christmas cookies. Those with braces, however, can’t give in to all of their cookie cravings. Some cookie recipes aren’t braces friendly. Crunchy gingerbread or shortbread cookies could cause brackets to break or wires to snap. Cookies topped with sticky caramel or jellies could stick to appliances and do harm. While giving up some holiday recipes are a must, Christmas cookies aren’t one that needs to be completely checked off of the list. KCC Orthodontics approves of this soft sugar cookie recipe for those with braces.
