Our Invisalign patients are not limited to the menu options they choose. Our braces patients do have to be more mindful. We’re making it simple! We’ve included a braces-friendly meal that you can order from each one! 

Annie’s Favorite Restaurant: Los Cucos Mexican Cafe

At Los Cucos Mexican Cafe, remember to avoid the chips. For an alternative appetizer, we recommend ceviche or quesadillas. When choosing your meal, you can’t go wrong with ordering enchiladas, soft tacos, or soup! The Healthy Combo and Skinny Avocados are another great braces-friendly option.

Amy’s Favorite Restaurant: JINYA Ramen Bar

JINYA Ramen Bar offers so many wonderful braces-friendly options!! Fried chicken and wings are off the table. But our favorite dishes are Wonton Chicken Ramen, JINYA Quinoa Salad, and Tokyo Curry Rice. Panna Cotta and Mochi Ice Cream are both fantastic dessert options!

Kristy’s Favorite Restaurants: On the Kirb or Local Table

On the Kirb offers so many delicious options! Plus, the braces-friendly options for your entree are abundant at this Katy, Texas restaurant.

Appetizers- Traditional Hummus, Kirb Cheese Board, or Brussel Sprouts. 

Entree- The Shawarma Salad, Fish Tacos, and Wraps catch our eye! 

Tip: When choosing your dish, think soft and easy to chew! Cut up your food into smaller bite-size pieces when necessary. This will ensure you protect your brackets and keep your treatment on track.

Local Table offers many similar braces-friendly dishes. Our favorites include the following:

Appetizer- Blue Crab Cakes or Soup of the Day

Entree- Mama’s Meatloaf or Lemon Pasta (cut up your garlic toast!)

Jeysse’s Favorite Restaurant: Gringos Mexican Kitchen

Although the chips aren’t braces-friendly, Gringos offers other delicious appetizer options! Our favorites are the guacamole salad and the shrimp empanadas. If you order fajitas, we recommend chicken or shrimp as they are softer and easier to bite into with braces. The beef is tasty too though. Tip: cut the meat into smaller pieces before eating! 

Nessa’s Favorite Restaurant: Willie’s Grill & Icehouse

Nessa says she likes any restaurant with a casual atmosphere and outdoor seating. Willie’s is perfect for this! It’s an American classic! Opt for fried jalapenos or fried pickles to start. Both of these are already bite-sized and friendly to your braces. The Gumbo and Loaded Baked Potato are easy go-tos when you have braces. If you’re craving an American classic, such as a burger or chicken fried steak, go for it! These foods are enjoyable with minor modifications. You must cut your food into smaller pieces and avoid biting right in. 

Jessica’s Favorite Restaurants: Lunch- Buzz & Bites Katy & Dinner- Mafia Sushi

Did you know you can enjoy Buzz & Bites for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner?! Our favorite Brunch items are the French Toast and Classic Omelet. The Kiddo Mac n Cheese is the best braces-friendly menu item and a fan favorite at that!

Mafia Sushi offers an extensive menu! Our best braces-friendly tip for this Katy, Texas restaurant: avoid anything crunchy (tempura, crispy). The Cucumber Salad is Jessica’s favorite. Additionally, we recommend the Hibachi menu here at Mafia Sushi! They aren’t lying when they say their filet mignon is juicy. This is a fantastic option for anyone in braces! The meat is soft and tender, so you won’t have to fear breaking brackets when enjoying this meal. Plus, it comes with rice and soft cooked veggies- which are also braces-friendly!!

Sara & Natalee’s Favorite Restaurant: Gauchos Do Sul

It was a tie for Sara and Natalee on their favorite Katy, Texas restaurant. You’ve got to know it’s a good one! Gauchos Do Sul offers a unique dining experience for the Katy community. Their salad bar offers many braces-friendly options. Pro tip: if you indulge in the bacon, cut it into bite-size pieces! Additionally, avoid meat served on the bone, such as ribs or lamb chop. Even then you will please your taste buds with the options Gauchos offers on their menu! Cut up all meats and enjoy a delicious feast without compromising your treatment!

Vicky’s Favorite Restaurant: Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant

Can you tell our team loves Mexican cuisine, particularly our Tex-Mex favorites? We are grateful Katy, Texas offers a variety of Mexican dining options. Vicky’s favorite is Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant. We recommend their beans (hold the chips!), White Chicken Chili, or Lupe’s Salmon with cheesy rice.

Dr. G’s Favorite Restaurant: Texas Borders Bar & Grill

Texas Borders‘ new location is off Pin Oak Road, across the street from our office! What a convenient place to visit for lunch or dinner. You could go before or after your appointment at KCC Orthodontics. Our favorite appetizer is Loaded Borders Fries. For your meal, we recommend Creamy Penne Pasta, Pulled Pork Quesadilla, or Jo’s Spicy Gumbo.
